Dark tea (黑茶, hēi chá) is a post-fermented tea. It has a deep colored infusion, a smooth flavour vintage aroma and a mellow taste. Examples are Hunan dark tea (湖南黑茶, húnán hēi chá), Liubao tea (廣西六堡茶, guangxī lìubao chá), Bian tea (四川邊茶, sìchuān biān chá), Gong Ting Pu'er, etc.
